Last night, June 17, several members of Hope and some friends of Hope participated in the Durham Relay for Life to raise funds for Cancer research. A highlight of the night was the Survivors Victory walk that included Jeff VanNetten and many more. The luminaires that surrounded the whole track were candle memorials to those who were victims of cancer. Most of the walkers were touched in some way by this dreaded disease. But there is hope! Our God is so much bigger than cancer. Prayer and research can beat this disease, How much we stand in need of that encouragement so we can have the peace that passes all understanding whether we are a survivor or have been touched as a victim.
