Find out more about Alpha? Alpha is one place where you can go to find out more about God, Jesus Christ, the Church or the Bible. Its designed to be a safe, fun and interesting place inquirers to come with their questions. Click here to find out more.

Hope is running the Alpha Marriage Course. Why take the course? Regular check-ups help a car run smoothly and reduce the risk of breakdown. The best sports professionals spend hours being coached and perfecting their technique. The greatest achievements in life take practice, training and dedication.

It is the same with marriage. A strong, loving and lifelong relationship doesn’t happen by chance. It takes effort and dedication to keep the fun and romance alive. We can all learn how to make even the happiest marriage better.

NOTE: There is never any group work and you will never be asked to share anything about your relationship with anyone other than your partner. The course material is presented using a video series.  This is a great opportunity to spend time together as a couple and look at the important issues in your relationship.

“The Marriage Course” is set  to begin on Tuesday March 23 and run until mid May. Classes will take place here at Hope over seven Tuesdays evenings from 7-9pm, and there will be a wrap-up dinner on the eighth evening.

Total cost per couple: $20; limited enrolment for this session.

Baby sitting is available. If you have any questions please contact Nick or Elaine Stevens

NOOMA SUNDAY EVENING SERIES Jesus lived with the awareness that God is doing something, right here, right now, and anybody can be a part of it. He encouraged His listeners to search, to question, to wrestle with the implications of what He was saying and doing. He inspired, challenged, provoked, comforted, and invited people to be open to God’s work in this world. Wherever He went, whatever He did, Jesus started discussions about what matters most, because for Jesus, God is always inviting us to open our eyes and join in. NOOMA is a series of short films that explore our world from a perspective of Jesus. NOOMA is an invitation to search, question, and join the discussion.

Council will be hosting the NOOMA Video Series. The evening will consist of praise and worship, a video presentation followed by group discussions as well as a time of fellowship over a coffee or tea. Babysit will be provided for parents with small children. Students, if you need community hours for school and would like to help out with the children, please talk to John Klei.  Contact a Council member if you have any questions.
